ICE COLD SICKNESS: CHAPTER 2ICE COLD SICKNESS
I've never actually been sick before. I've had a cold once… or was it a hot in my case? It doesn't matter. But when I was human there were several sicknesses going around. I even caught one called Small Pocks. I was young and scared. The doctors were so surprised when I lived and continued my duties at home. Kind of like when I fell out of a tree. I should have broken my neck, but somehow I got lucky, just like with Small Pocks. It seemed that fate wanted me to live up until the point that I saved my sister.
Now a year ago I wouldn't have cared if any of the Guardians got sick. And they could care even less if I did. But n
ANOTHER YEAR GONE BYAnother Year Gone By
| NORTH POLE
What was so important about another year beginning? Well to most people New Years was a significant day that proved they made it through another year through all the twists and turns. What was New Years to a Guardian? It told them that it was another successful year of helping children. But to Jack, New Years meant nothing to Jack. Another year had gone by, and he was alone. Or at least, that's how it usually was.
Jack would sit in a tree, staring at the moon, asking, begging for answers as to why he was here. Why no one could see him. But Manny never answered. He would sit alone, tears running down his fr
ICE COLD SICKNESS: CHAPTER 1ICE COLD SICKNESS
Nightmares, they are something that everyone, even us Guardians have them once in a while. The reason is Pitch Black, the boogeyman. Everyone's life is like a book, each large moment in one's life is like a chapter in this book of you. Mine is no exception, and I was hoping that my most recent chapter in my book would be the last I see of Pitch, he'd tried to use me to hurt my friends, putting me in an endless nightmare. But he didn't know of my strong will, my devotion to overcome his influence.
But as I start a new chapter in my book, I know that Pitch will return, with his fears and nightmares, and I knew I'd get stuck

Jack looked at the large workshop in front of him; he had seen the lights and known that was what called all the Guardians here. He just wasn't sure why North would call them all together on Christmas Eve. He hesitantly walked to the doors and slowly opened them. Inside the yetis were working like crazy. All of them were hauling presents towards the place where North kept his sleigh. Others were finishing wrapping presents and a few were working on last-minute presents.
Jack stared at the sight for a second before shutting the door behind him and walking past them. He shot a few passing yetis an uneasy l
ICE COLD HEART: EpilogueICE COLD HEART
There is a difference between a home and a place you live. I have lived by the lake for my whole immortal life. But it wasn't my home. A home is with family and friends. A place you build together, somewhere that keeps you all close. I've never had a home, and I was so sure that I never would.
The Guardians gave me the home I never had. And for that I am eternally grateful. If it wasn't for them I'd still be out on my own, always looking for food, hardly getting any sleep, and knowing that someone could attack me from anywhere.
But now I have a family and a home, I don't need anything more…

Rope dug into Patrick’s wrists as he struggled to free his hands. His hot, damp breath washed over his face, trapped by the fabric sack secured over his head.
A floorboard creaked. Patrick froze, his back rigid against the chair, and strained his ears. Another creak.
“Hello?” he called.
The sound of swishing fabric.
“Who’s there? Where am I? Why’d you bring me here?” Blurred memories swam through his mind: drinking at the bar; stumbling home; a shadow sweeping out from an alley.
Fingers grasped his chin and jerked his head upward. “Hush.” A woman’s voice.
